United Kingdom government has officially banned the star Rapper Kanye west from entering to the country. Ye was set to headline three nights at Wireless Festival from July 10 to July 12 at London’s Finsbury Park but in last few days the “Bully” Rapper was facing huge political backlash as high profile sponsors like Pepsi and Diego pulled themselves from Wireless Festival.
Wireless Festival’s official Statement
On their latest Instagram post , Wireless Festival announced “As a result of Home Office banning YE from entering the United Kingdom, Wireless Festival has been forced to cancel. All ticket holders will receive an automatic full refund.
Ye’s attempt at redemption
According to BBC , Kanye offered to have conversation with jewish community for his previous antisemitic remarks. “I know words aren’t enough,” added West. “I’ll have to show change through my actions. If you’re open, I’m here.”
Meanwhile Prime Minister of U.K. Keir Stammer also chimed in as he remarked that West should never have been invited to perform at Wireless Festival.
